Why I do this
It started as a side income. Then I lost my father-in-law.
I'll be honest — when I first entered the insurance field, it was simply an additional stream of income. I didn't fully understand the weight of the work I was doing.
That changed the day my father-in-law passed away. He believed he was covered. He believed his family would be taken care of. When we called the company to file the claim, we discovered he had the wrong type of policy — and that it had actually terminated a couple of years before he did.
There was no payout. To give him the service he deserved, we drained savings, pulled from a 401(k), and asked family members to chip in. Watching the people I love grieve and scramble at the same time broke something open in me.
From that moment on, insurance stopped being a side hustle. It became a calling — to educate families and help them navigate the intricate tapestry of this industry so no one else has to find out the hard way.
