Eligibility FAQ

Common questions before you request a quote

Quick answers to the things most people ask about Medicare eligibility and enrollment.

Most people become eligible the month they turn 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period is a 7-month window — the 3 months before your birthday month, your birthday month, and the 3 months after. You may also qualify earlier if you've received Social Security disability for 24 months or have ESRD or ALS.

Three paths. One that's right for you.

We'll walk you through each option in plain English — and tell you honestly which one fits your doctors, prescriptions, and budget.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

All-in-one plans bundling hospital, medical, and usually drug coverage — often with $0 premium and extras like gym memberships and OTC allowances.

  • $0 premium options
  • Built-in extras
  • In-network savings

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Pairs with Original Medicare to fill the gaps — predictable costs, freedom to see any doctor who accepts Medicare, nationwide.

  • See any Medicare doctor
  • Predictable out-of-pocket
  • No network restrictions

Prescription Drug (Part D)

Standalone drug coverage tailored to the exact prescriptions you take — we run your meds through every plan to find your lowest annual cost.

  • Med-by-med comparison
  • Pharmacy preference
  • Annual re-shopping

Our promise

You'll never overpay because you didn't know better.

Most folks stay in the same Medicare plan year after year — and quietly overpay by hundreds. We re-shop your plan every Annual Enrollment Period at no cost, ever. If a better plan exists, you'll know.

  • We check every plan against your doctors and prescriptions
  • We never charge you a fee — we're paid by the carriers
  • We help with claims, appeals, and questions year-round
